The essential problem that is addressed with our technology is the reduction or elimination of time needed to gather text and map data about a given location, resolve the data’s relevance to that location, and then quickly make an informed decision based on the data.

We solve this integration and display problem using several techniques.

For alignment of vector data to aerial imagery, we have automated a previously time consuming manual process using a combination of image-processing and data mining techniques. In particular we focus on automatic point matching of different data sets and automatic feature extraction for correct image to vector correlation. For assignment of text data to aerial imagery, we build on aligned vector layers with an automated analysis, correlation and assignment process that uses geospatial reasoning in the area of interest to accurately identify and link data pertaining to that point or area in the image. Because of this approach, the system is very accurate, scales well, and the linking can be done on-the-fly.
